MIDDLESEX CHAMPIONSHIP CUP
Kensington and Chelsea 245 all out
Youth Wing 248-4
Youth Wing CC won by six wickets

Kensington and Chelsea were sent crashing out of the Middlesex Cup by Youth Wing on Saturday. Wing chased down Ken's 245 with three overs to spare, adding another wretched chapter to the west Londoners' history with Wing. Ken were docked 10 points after their second XI failed to field a full team against them on May 29.

And, although there were 11 on the pitch this time, none of the K&C team could find the lethal spell of bowling that would have maintained their interest in the trophy. David Babbage reached 38 and captain
James Thornton notched 34 - but the latter failed to make the big score his team needed.

Ammad Atee has been Ken's giant at the crease this season, having made a match-winning 70 the previous week against United Sports, but he was dismissed for 33. And, although Damian Dharmaratne struck 29 and Shukdeb Das finished unbeaten on 30, Ken's total eventually proved too little. William Tarrant took a decent 2-27, and team-mate Martin Chamberlin earned 2-23. But it was not enough.
